Version 2026-10-08 - the string recorded against an account when somebody agrees to this document.
This policy is part of the VAMP Terms of Service, an agreement with VAMP Technologies Inc. It applies to everything you do with VAMP: the desktop app, vamp.media, any catalog you publish, anything you share, and any file you send or receive through the service.
It's short on purpose. The rules here are the ones that get an account closed.
Don't put illegal material on our servers. Don't use VAMP to hurt people. Don't attack the service. If you do, we will remove it, close your account, keep a record, and where the law requires it, report you.
You may not store, publish, share, transmit, request or deliver any of the following through the online service, and you may not use the VAMP desktop app to catalog, prepare or distribute it:
Absolutely and without exception. No child sexual abuse material (CSAM). No sexual or sexualised depiction of a minor, real, drawn, animated, synthetic or AI-generated. No material that sexualises a minor, no nudity of a minor produced or used for sexual purposes, and nothing that sexually exploits a child in any form.
There is no artistic, journalistic, archival, research or "it's just B-roll" exception to this, and there is no warning. An account that puts this material on our servers is closed immediately, the material is preserved and handed over as described in Section 4, and a report goes to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
If you have this material, do not upload it here. Do not "test" whether our systems catch it. Uploading it is a federal crime in the United States and a crime nearly everywhere else, and reporting it is not a discretionary decision on our side.
No intimate, nude or sexually explicit imagery of any person shared without that person's consent. This covers so-called revenge porn, hidden-camera and upskirt footage, images obtained by hacking or theft, and sexual deepfakes or any synthetic sexual depiction of a real person made without their consent. It also covers material that was consensually made but not consensually shared - consent to be filmed is not consent to be published.
No content that is illegal to possess, create or distribute where you are or where we operate. This includes material depicting real sexual violence, human trafficking, or the sexual exploitation of anyone; content that promotes or provides instructions for terrorism or mass violence; and content produced by or for a sanctioned entity in breach of the export and sanctions rules in the Terms.
No content that incites, threatens, glorifies or coordinates violence against a person or a group. No content that promotes self-harm or suicide. No content documenting a crime you committed and are storing for the purpose of continuing it.
Real newsgathering, documentary and investigative footage of violence and its aftermath is a legitimate use of a footage archive, and we know it. The line is purpose: documenting is fine, incitement, distribution as trophy material, and evasion of the law is not.
No content you don't have the rights to store or share. That means no pirated films, series or libraries, no stock or licensed footage used outside its license, no material you're under an NDA not to distribute, and no client material you have no release for. Using VAMP as a distribution point for someone else's copyrighted work is a straightforward way to lose your account.
Don't put regulated data into the online service. The online service is not built or certified to hold payment card data, criminal justice information, or classified or controlled government material. It may hold protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA only if you have signed a separate Business Associate Agreement with us first; without one, PHI is not allowed. If your footage carries obligations like these, keep it local, on your own drives, and talk to us first at [email protected]. The desktop app on its own computer never sends footage to us, so using it locally is unaffected.
Also: no doxxing. Don't publish someone's home address, phone number, identity documents or other private information without their consent.
No viruses, worms, ransomware, keyloggers, exploit code, or files crafted to attack whoever opens them or whatever parses them. That includes media files built to exploit a decoder, which - given that VAMP reads media for a living - is an attack on us as much as on the person you sent it to.
You may not:
We don't pre-screen your content and we have no obligation to monitor it. When we do learn of something - from a report, from an automated signal, or from ordinary operations - we may do any of the following, in any order, without notice:
We may take any of these steps against a single file, a single catalog, or an entire account, and we may act on a good-faith belief without waiting for proof to a legal standard.
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected] with your account address and what happened. We'll look again. We will not reinstate anything in Section 2.1 under any circumstances, and we're not obliged to reinstate anything else.
If you find something on VAMP that breaks this policy - or you're the person in footage someone else published - tell us:
Please include the link or catalog involved, what's wrong with it, and how to reach you. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first - we can't respond at that speed.
Do not send us copies of suspected CSAM. Send us the location and nothing else. We'll handle it from there.
We review every report within one business day. A report of suspected child sexual abuse material is acted on the same day we see it.
We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
`` Northwest Registered Agent, LLC Attn: Taylor Newman, DMCA Agent for VAMP Technologies Inc. 502 W 7th St, Ste 100 Erie, PA 16502, USA Email: [email protected] Phone: (412) 797-6637 ``
To be effective, your notice must include:
Misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please be sure before you send.
We'll remove or disable access to the material, and we'll tell the account holder what was removed and why, along with a copy of the notice.
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent, containing:
If we receive a valid counter-notice we'll forward it to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they've filed a court action seeking to restrain you, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.
When we remove material on a valid notice, VAMP holds the removed catalog for 30 days, so it can be restored after a successful counter-notice.
VAMP records every valid copyright notice against the account that published the material
Three strikes within any 12 months ends the account's access to the online service. VAMP counts the strikes and suspends the account automatically at the third, and we tell the account holder why. We review a termination on appeal (Section 4) and may reverse it where a strike turns out to be mistaken. An account terminated as a repeat infringer may not open a new one.
We may update this policy. The version string and effective date at the top change when we do, and material changes are handled the same way as changes to the Terms - see Section 14 of the Terms of Service.
