VAMP Edit

Every drive on your shelf,
searchable from your laptop.

Catalog a drive once, then put it back on the shelf. VAMP keeps a catalog small enough to live on your laptop.

Every clip, its metadata, a scrubbable preview, and the words people said on camera. Search all of it at once. Scrub a shot without the drive. Send the clip you need when the drive comes back online.

What it does

  • Catalogs drives, cards and folders on Mac and Windows.
  • Makes previews you can scrub with J K L, at the size you choose.
  • Transcribes and keywords footage so you can search for what was said or shown.
  • Shares a catalog with your editors, who can request clips from it.
  • Sends bins and projects to Premiere.

The originals never move. VAMP reads them and copies from them. It never alters them.

What it costs

Everything that runs on your own computer is free, on every drive you own. Sharing, AI keywording and Pro tools are a subscription. See plans.
